Buy the outcome, not the headcount.

A Statement of Work engagement where a managed team owns a defined deliverable end to end — scope, milestones and acceptance criteria you sign off on. You hold us to the result, not the hours on a timesheet.

  • A named delivery lead accountable for milestones, quality and the team's output — one person you escalate to
  • Fixed-scope Statements of Work with milestones, acceptance criteria and explicit change control
  • Teams assembled for the work — engineering, QA and delivery together — not a stack of separate contractors
  • Pricing tied to the deliverable or a milestone plan, so what you pay tracks what's shipped
  • Progress you can audit: status against milestones, risks and open decisions reported on your cadence
  • Handoff built into the close — documentation and knowledge transfer so your team can run it after we leave

A project team is a self-contained delivery unit — engineers, QA and a delivery lead — assembled around one outcome and governed by a Statement of Work. We set the scope, milestones and acceptance criteria with you, run the team, and answer for the result. It's the right model when you need something built to a fixed definition of done and would rather buy the deliverable than source, manage and quality-check the people yourself.

How the engagement works

We start by pinning down the outcome — what "done" means, by when, and how you'll judge it. That becomes a Statement of Work with a scope boundary, milestones, acceptance criteria and change control. We assemble the team, stand up delivery, and report against the milestones on your cadence. You review and sign off at each gate; we own everything in between.

What you own, what we own

You own direction: priorities, business context, and sign-off at each milestone. We own delivery: the right mix of skills, day-to-day management, code quality, and the dates in the SOW. There's no line of contractors for your leads to coordinate — one delivery lead runs the team and is accountable for its output.

Why teams choose Bench FX for SOW

The failure mode of project work is a group of contractors billing hours with no one answerable for the whole. We build every engagement around a deliverable and a named lead who owns it, so the delivery risk sits with us. Pricing ties to scope and milestones, so cost tracks progress instead of drifting with time and materials.

When a project team fits

Choose this when the work is a bounded deliverable — a migration, an integration, a product build, a modernization phase — with a real deadline and a clear definition of success. It fits best when you want the work delivered without adding permanent headcount or pulling your own leaders into running it day to day.
